Advertising is unavoidable. It is around us. These fifteen six-second bumper advertisements focus on American behavior, complacency, surveillance, and restlessness. The ads provoke the viewer in a direct, intimate, and unexpected manner while subverting the platform. Placing the ads on Google cost me $50. This bought me the time of 60,000+ strangers, who had to experience my design work — advertising my thoughts — before being able to access their actual desired content on YouTube.
